- →Change pitch too. Like playing a record at a different speed: faster sounds higher, slower sounds deeper. It is the sped-up and slowed-down sound you hear in edits.

How do I change the BPM of a song?

Does changing the BPM change the pitch?
Not by default. Keep pitch time-stretches the audio so the key stays the same. Switch to Change pitch too if you want the vinyl or nightcore effect, where faster also means higher.
Is this BPM changer free? Is my song uploaded?
It is free with no account and no limit. The processing runs inside your browser, so the file never leaves your device and costs us nothing to offer.
Can I change the BPM of an MP3?
Yes. MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC and M4A all work. The download is a WAV file, which every DAW, DJ app and phone can play; convert it to MP3 afterwards if you need a smaller file.
How accurate is the BPM detection?
It is an estimate from the first minute of the song and is usually right for music with a clear beat. It can land on half or double the real tempo. If the number looks wrong, tap along to the beat with Tap tempo or type the BPM you know.
How far can I change the tempo before it sounds bad?
Within about 20% either way, most music sounds natural. Bigger changes still work, but you will start to hear smearing on drums and vocals. Change pitch too sounds cleaner at extreme speeds, at the cost of the key.
