How the AI music editor works
The model hears the music on both sides of your window, so the new part picks up in the same key, tempo and sound.
- 1
Pick the song
Choose one of the songs you made here. Play it and note where the part you want to change starts and ends.
- 2
Say what that part should be
Describe the change — quieter, no drums, a bigger build — and set a window between 10 seconds and half the song.
- 3
Get the whole song back
Only that window is re-recorded and blended into what comes before and after. The new version is saved next to the original.
What you can fix with the AI music editor
You liked most of the song but one part is off. Instead of regenerating the whole thing and losing what worked, redo just that part.
A chorus that doesn't lift
Mark the chorus and ask for a bigger build: "fuller drums, backing vocals, more energy than the verse".
An ending that stops dead
Select the last 15–20 seconds and ask for "a slow fade-out on the main melody" or "a soft piano outro".
A verse that is too busy
Pick the second verse and ask for "just guitar and voice, no drums" to give the song some room to breathe.
An intro that takes too long
Redo the opening as "start straight on the beat with the vocal" so the song gets going sooner.
Every edit is saved as a new version, so you can try two or three descriptions for the same part and keep the best.
AI music editor FAQ
What does the AI music editor do?
It re-records one section of a song you made on MusicGenerater and leaves the rest untouched. You pick the start and end, describe what that part should become, and the new section is blended into the music around it.
How long can the section be?
At least 10 seconds and at most half of the song. Shorter than that and the model has no room to blend the new part in; if you want to change more than half, generating a new song is the better tool.
Can I type the new lyrics word for word?
Not yet. Right now you describe what the section should become — the mood, the arrangement, what it should be about — rather than pasting exact replacement lyrics.
Can I edit a song I upload?
Not yet. The editor works on songs made on MusicGenerater. To change a song you made elsewhere, you can extend it with the AI Song Extender instead.
What does an edit cost?
2 credits per edit, on the Pro plan. Regenerating the whole song costs 5 — and throws away the parts you already liked.
Is my original song kept?
Yes. The edit is saved as a new version under Extended & edits in My Music; the original stays exactly as it was, so you can compare the two or edit again.
Fix the part you don't like
Pick a song above, mark the seconds, and describe what they should be. The rest of the song stays yours.
