Lyrics to Song AI Generator

What a lyrics to song generator does
A lyrics to song generator takes words you already wrote and turns them into a finished song: it composes a melody that fits the syllables, builds an arrangement in the style you choose, and sings your lyrics with a real-sounding vocal. Nothing is rewritten — that is the difference from asking an AI to write a song for you.
People use lyrics to song for the words that matter to them: a poem, a letter, a verse they have been humming for years, or notes they need to learn. If you can write it, you can hear it as music — lyrics to music in one step, without an instrument, a studio or a singer.
How to turn lyrics into a song
- 1
Paste the lyrics
Switch to Custom mode and paste your words. Mark the sections with [Verse], [Chorus] and [Bridge] so the melody follows the structure you wrote. Up to 5,000 characters per song; longer text is split into several songs for you.
- 2
Pick a style
Choose a genre from the picker or type one, and add a mood, a tempo or the kind of voice if it matters. The style is required in Custom mode; the title is optional.
- 3
Hear two versions, then download
Every generation gives you two songs built on the same lyrics, each with its own melody. Keep the one you like, change the style or a line and try again, then download the MP3 on a paid plan.
How to format lyrics for an AI song generator
- →Tag the sections. [Verse 1], [Chorus], [Verse 2], [Bridge], [Outro]. The model uses them to change the melody and the energy at the right places.
- →Keep lines short. Six to ten syllables a line sings naturally. A twenty-word line gets rushed.
- →Repeat the hook. Write the chorus out in full every time it appears, including the title line, instead of typing 'repeat chorus'.
- →Rhyme loosely. Near rhymes are fine. Forced perfect rhymes read worse than plain lines that mean something.
- →Put the mood in the style, not the lyrics. Words like 'slow', 'acoustic', 'female vocal' go in the style field. The lyrics box is only for what gets sung.
[Verse 1] Streetlights hum on the road back home Radio low, I am not alone Every mile is a thing you said Playing over inside my head [Chorus] Keep the porch light on for me I am closer than I seem Keep the porch light on for me Halfway home is still a dream [Verse 2] Coffee cold in the cup you gave Same old song that the river plays Counting exits, counting stars Nothing out here that is ours [Chorus] Keep the porch light on for me I am closer than I seem

Long lyrics? They become a series of songs
Paste up to 20,000 characters
A whole chapter of notes, a long poem, a story. One song holds up to 5,000 characters; anything longer is split for you.
Split at paragraph breaks
Never in the middle of a line. Each part keeps your [Verse] and [Chorus] tags and is titled Part 1, Part 2 and so on.
Same style for every part
Every part uses the style you picked. On Pro, save the singer from Part 1 and the rest sound like the same voice.

Lyrics to song FAQ
Does it sing my lyrics exactly as written?
Yes. In Custom mode the text you paste is used as the lyrics and sung word for word. That is also why formatting matters: section tags and line breaks tell the model where the chorus is.
Do I need an account?
Yes, a free one. Generation is not open to signed-out visitors, so you need an account either way — it takes one click with Google and costs nothing. You get 20 credits on signup plus 5 more every day you check in; each generation costs 5 credits and gives you two songs.
How long can the lyrics be?
Up to 5,000 characters per song on every plan, free included. You can paste up to 20,000: anything over 5,000 is split at paragraph breaks into several songs that share the same style, and you can choose to split shorter text too.
Can I choose the genre and the voice?
Yes. The style you pick or type decides the arrangement and the kind of vocal; add words like 'female vocal', 'soft', 'rap delivery' or 'choir' to the style to steer it.
I wrote my lyrics with ChatGPT or another AI. Can I bring them straight here?
Yes. Paste the whole reply: the intro line ("Sure, here's a version…"), the ** and # marks and the bold title are removed automatically so only the lyrics are sung, and you can undo it. You can also open this page with the lyrics already filled in: musicgenerater.com/lyrics-to-song#lyrics=… with the lyrics URL-encoded after #lyrics=, plus optional &title= and &style=. An AI assistant can build that link for you.
What languages work?
Most major languages. Paste the lyrics in the language you want sung; the melody follows the syllables of the text.
How long does it take, and what do I get?
Usually one to two minutes. You get a full track as an MP3; lossless WAV export is part of the Pro plan. Commercial use is included on paid plans (see our terms).
Can I turn a poem into a song?
Yes. Paste the poem as it is, add [Verse] and [Chorus] tags if you want one stanza to repeat as the hook, and pick a style that suits its pace — a ballad or folk for long lines, pop or rap for short punchy ones.
Can several songs keep the same singer?
On Pro, yes. Under a song you like, tap Use this singer: it is saved to your voices, and the next songs you make with it sound like the same singer. Useful for a series, like a set of study songs. You can also have songs sung in your own voice.
Is lyrics to song free?
You can start free: 20 credits on signup, about 8 songs, plus more each day you check in. You can listen to everything you make; downloading the MP3 and using the song commercially come with a paid plan, Pro from $7.99 a month.
I do not have lyrics yet. Where do I start?
Use the lyrics generator to get a structured draft from a theme, edit it, then paste it here. Or describe the song on the text to song page and let the AI write the words.
